Did anyone in Florida feel this....

  2. Nothing felt in Central Florida. As a native, I’m surprised there is any tectonic activity in Florida.

  3. Surprisingly, not all that uncommon. There's a rather active fault running up the outer rim of the Caribbean. Lots of volcanic islands.

    Florida gets the 'shakes from being near the fault' shakes but not the big 'shakes from being on the fault' shakes.

    Florida's substructure, limestone, isn't the best material for transmitting shock either.

    1. Thanks for the info, Beans! Used to live on the Ramapo Fault and felt little shakes all the time.
