Ever wonder why train wheels look the way they do?

March winds still a-blowing!
A treat! Oatmeal, grapes and bread crumbs:
Ladies first!
This is why she is called "Chipper" - she has no top beak:
Neighbors had some trees cut down:
This is all that is left - a pile of logs:
The clouds look like an angry face!
Vultures nesting in our trees:
They are inseparable:
Benji won't let her out of his sight:
Chipper doesn't lay eggs anymore. I don't know why he preferred her over Spot.
Look - a squirrel!
:o)
H/T to Gary!
Just want to say a big "Thank You" to everyone who sends me these wonderful funnies! I do read them all and it sooo hard to pick which ones to post! Maybe I should do a Today's Funny every day at noon- what do you think? Let me know in the comments below!
:o)
..... mood.
Benji attacked and killed Spot over the weekend.
I really don't feel like doing any posts today. Benji will meet Colonel Sanders the day before I get new hens. He is not harming Chipper, in fact, he is very protective of her.

It's time for a great 'Big Boy' video! Sit back and watch and wishing you could have been there!

Follow Union Pacific Big Boy 4014 and the 844 on a special double-header between Cheyenne, Wyoming and Ogden, Utah. The event coincided with Union Pacific's Spike 150 Celebration commemorating the driving of the golden spike at Promontory Summit, Utah in 1869. This is the 4014's first excursion run after being restored to operating condition. Scenes along Sherman Hill and the Wasatch Mountains show Big Boy working over the mountain grades it was originally designed for. This is an excerpt from "Return of the Big Boy" available on DVD, Blu-ray and Digital Download. https://www.7ideaproductions.com/prod...

H/T to Terry!

But flowers are starting to bloom:
The peonies:
Checking out the shed:
Hubby has been getting the mower ready:
And the woodpeckers are getting rid of this stump for us:
:o)
.... you CAN eat them????
In the fall, Hubby and I gather the brown tops (we call them "punks"), dry them out and use them the following year as mosquito repellents. You never forget the aroma of a burning punk!
:o)
..... like Winter the last few days:
The birdbath froze:
Very windy!
The new green grass is frozen, too!
Kitty-Kat watching the geese fly over:
Spot stopped laying eggs again. Maybe when it starts to really warm up, she'll get down to business!
(I hate buying eggs at the store)
The gang only comes out of the coop to eat because the wind just rips right through the pen. The plastic on one side was blown away.
The weather guru said it should be near 70 on Friday - maybe he will be right for a change!
:o)
Didn't have the picture disk thingy in the camera.....so there are no pics for this morning
Gotta remember to put that IN the camera.....
:o(
Can't get enough of the sound of a steam engine??
Grab a cuppa, sit back, watch and enjoy the best of Britain's glorious steam engines!
Oh, such marvelous sounds!
(Sigh....)
:o)
Digging up the garden plot:
It was downright HOT yesterday:
It made everything bloom!
Even a fuzzy caterpillar!
Then the thunderstorms arrive and cooled everything down!
