I watched, with the rest of my college classmates, the live feed of that day. My mind could not make sense of what was presented before me and I struggled to comprehend what the hell was going on. Because I worked at our local hospital my brain latched on to the report that NYC hospitals were emptying out to accommodate victims from the Towers and as we saw people falling from the sky, I thought, “They aren’t going to need those beds”.
