Sunrise Mountain in the early morning:
I almost feel sorry for the damn deer - they are hungry:
The road next to the coop:
In front of the house - piles of snow:
Treats for the gang: oatmeal, corn, grapes and bits of leftover chicken:
Just hanging out:
Lots of tracks in the snow:
This was odd: looked like two sunsets at the same time!
:o)
Maybe the two sunsets were a sun dog. ???
ReplyDelete"A sun dog (or sundog) or mock sun, also called a parhelion in meteorology, is an atmospheric optical phenomenon that consists of a bright spot to one or both sides of the Sun. Two sun dogs often flank the Sun within a 22° halo."
Wow! Looked it up - you are right! It was so weird looking! :o)
DeleteI looked up the definition of "cannibalism" before I commented on your feeding bits of leftover chicken to the gang.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure how to calculate the risk factor that you might be creating a worldwide catastrophe of zombie chickens.
My wife asked why I'm murmuring, "It's alive", then making chicken sounds and laughing.
LOL! It's OK, John. Really. It wasn't anyone they knew!! :o)
