Meet a most unusual bird!

 The Cassowary:

There are three species of cassowary, all of which are native to Australasia. These birds are potentially dangerous and should be treated with caution and respect, should you encounter one in the wild.

    1. When I was looking for info on them, some articles mentioned that a man was killed by one. Sad.

  2. I'm okay with snakes and spiders, but generally, if it lives outside, unassisted, it demands respect. A bird with legs that long can kick the snot outta a guy. LookA that lump of rock on its head..
Don't let the green eggs fool ya.. That thing is dangerous.

    1. I don't mind snakes - but spiders? Yikes - no way! very near-sited, but can spot one 100 yards away! The eggs are beautiful!

  3. Beautiful birds, not to be taken lightly. I keep peafowl, which are 1/5 the size of these fellows, and I've lost blood a few times from them.
